European World Cup kicks off 26th June in Serbia

The final stage of the 2010 ISSF World Cup and final event before the World Championships will return to Europe as the Organizing Committee and Serbian Shooting Sport Federation welcome athletes to the ISSF World Cup Belgrade for Rifle and Pistol. The event will be held in BG Sports Center Kovilovo in Belgrade-Serbia, from 26th June to 4th July, 2010

ISSF World Cup heads to Fort Benning

USA Shooting, the National Governing Body for the Olympic Shooting Sports in the United States will stage the third leg of the 2010 ISSF World Cup in all Olympic Rifle and Pistol events from 22nd – 31st May 2010. This event will be hosted on the ranges of the United States Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia.

The medal table has so far been dominated by three teams, USA, Germany and China, securing 22 out of the available 36 medals so far.

The second leg of the 2010 ISSF Rifle & Pistol World Cups kicked off at the weekend as the ISSF President welcomed shooters to the prestigious Beijing Olympic Shooting Range. ELEY has built up a tally of six medals so far and are very proud of the achievements of USA Shooting Team and Henri Junghaenel from State of Hessen –teams sponsored by ELEY.

The second leg of the ISSF World Cup season for 2010 starts this weekend, the Chinese Shooting Association and Organising Committee will be welcoming over 600 athletes from 57 nations to compete in Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun events at the Beijing Shooting Range which hosted the 2008 Olympic Games.

A close battle in the 50m Men’s Free Pistol event saw China’s Lin Zhongza take the top spot on the podium, the 2007 World Cup Final Winner duelled right to the end with current Olympic Champion Jin Jong Oh to take the Gold medal. All three medalist shoot ELEY Tenex in the Final.

First ISSF World Cup of the year heads to Australia

Shooters from all parts of the World will descend on Sydney to compete in the first Rifle and Pistol stage of the 2010 ISSF World Cup series. The first World Cup of the season will take place from 20th March to 28th at the 2000 Olympic Shooting Range in Sydney Australia. Shooters will compete in ten Olympic events of Rifle and Pistol.

ELEY Sponsored shooter Vebjørn Berg sets a New Norwegian record in 60 prone incl. final in Royal Shooting League in Vierumäki Finland which took place last weekend. Berg achieved a score of 599 (629,7 incl. decimals) + 105,2. Beating the old record (Espen Berg-Knutsen 2007) with 0,2 points shooting ELEY. On his second day at the competition Vebjørn shot 599+104,1 with his recently selected Tenex from the ELEY Customer Range (batch 1009-05255).

ELEY and Hessen announce two-year sponsorship agreement

The rifle and pistol shooting squads in the German state of Hessen (based on the state training centre in Frankfurt) have in recent years been the breeding ground for a new generation of top young German shooters. Now they have teamed up with .22 ammunition manufacturer Eley in a bid to take their successes a step further.

ELEY attended their first Bundesglia final to cheer on their two sponsored teams who had qualified for the final, held in Coburg Germany 6-7 February. The HSG München Rifle Team were crowned champions of the Bundesliga season 2009/2010 and Kelheim Gmünd Team took the third place in the Pistol championships.
